The Beer for Canada's Skeleton Racer

Jon Montgomery of Russell, Manitoba, became involved in the sport of skeleton after watching a race while touring the Canadian Olympic Park in 2002. In 2005-06, he became his nation's first man to win a Europa Cup title and has followed with four straight Top 10 finishes in World Cup competition, including a fifth-place showing in 2009-10. He had his best season in 2007-08 by finishing second place in the World Cup and at the world championships in Altenberg, Germany. He was fourth at last year's event in Lake Placid, N.Y. Among his three career World Cup wins was last season's victory at the Whistler Sliding Centre, venue for the Vancouver Games. Montgomery is a graduate of Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas, and has a degree in automotive marketing and international management. He also works as an automobile auctioneer. Then just last year he made Canada Proud by winning a gold medal in the Vancouver 2010 winter olympics.
